| 2011 Vacation up at Sandpoint Idaho |
| |
| Here are some pictures from our annual summer vacation up at Pend Oreille Lake at Sandpoint Idaho. Man, the weather this year was FANTASTIC! Never has it been better. Upper 80's to mid 90's during the day, upper 40's to mid 50's at night. Sweet! It was great this year with the grandkids, they had a LOT of fun. We really missed Jon & Emi. We also had the bug zapper going this year, and the bottom of it looked like a bird built a nest, but it was all zapped creatures! Pretty cool! |

| 2011 Cisco Live! Customer Appreciation Event |
| |
| The 2011 Cisco Live! Customer Appreciation Event was held in the M Resort in Las Vegas (Henderson). Playing at this event was OK Go! and Train. Both were very good. I got some great photos and have gone through them and picked the better ones. I thought that OK Go! was better. The sound system was very good, however, since I was literally able to touch the stage, the bass speakers were basically beating my heart for me while I was up there. Man, sometimes it almost hurt. Good thing I brought ear plugs! |

| 2011 Trip to Xi'an City & Terra-Cotta Warriors |
| |
| Took a plane from Shanghai to Xi'an City to see the acient city. The old city is still surround completely by a 1000 year old wall about 50 feet tall and about 30 feet wide. Impressive to say the least. We then visited a huge part where there is a Budha temple and garden. The next day we took a an hour and half ride out to see the Terra-cotta Warriors. Now this was impressive. Just the size of the place, the number of the status and the details of each one. Incredible. We ended the day visiting the Emperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum, which ended up being a big park. |

| 2011 Trip to Shanghai China |
| |
| Went to Shanghai China for business. Was able to get to a couple of places while over there. We were able to get down to an old traditional shopping/food plaza. Man, some nice smells down there, let me tell ya! We ate a traditional lunch there, which was pretty scary. Ended up having some curry ramen, tasted good. Had a rice "ball" wrapped in some kind of leaves filled with pork and chestnuts, different. Then there were these little guoza things filled with crapb meat.
We then visited the Yuyuan Gardens. These are gardens that were once some old rich guys HOUSE! Some very nice photos here!
Finally, Amy took us down to a place called The Vue, great roof top views and was able to get some AWESOME downtown sunset/night time photos of Shanghai and all the lights. Seriously, some NICE photos! |
